Before AI Scale Zone ever existed, this already ran a real business. Here's exactly how.
The business
Cota Skincare is my own skincare brand, and the first place any of this ever ran. Before I built a business teaching other entrepreneurs to do this, I had to solve it for myself.
I started it in 2019 with no funding and no outside money, built on a 4-step routine inspired by my late brother Chevez, who everyone called "Cota." I filed the LLC myself at a local library. Everything from there was earned before it was spent.
Repetitive customer email work
Every business owner knows this one: the same kinds of questions, over and over, about products, orders, and what to buy. Answering them well takes real product knowledge. Answering them fast usually means a script that gets it wrong.
An agent, not a chatbot
I built and ran my own AI agent inside my own skincare brand before ever building this for anyone else. It's named Jessica, and it's connected to Cota's actual store and inbox, not a static script.
Still running today
Jessica handles real customer conversations, escalating only what actually needs a human. That's the same coordinator-and-specialist structure now offered to AI Scale Zone clients, proven first on a real business before it was ever sold to anyone else.
